Healing is a journey.

Enhearten walks alongside leaders who have endured trauma, wounding, and abuse.

We provide survivors with healing resources and recommendations for licensed counselors.

Enhearten Healing

In these times, leadership abuse and toxic, hurtful communities continue to be brought into the light. Unseen leaders are often survivors of these toxic forms of abuse. These issues have personally impacted members of Enhearten. Enhearten comes alongside unseen leaders through providing personal growth resources and tangible support for healing. These efforts help those that are ready to heal past wounds so that they can lead from a place of hope and wholeness.

Resources for Counseling & Care

Therapy and inner healing work provide a safe and supportive space to explore and address concerns such as managing thoughts and feelings, learning effective communication skills, building healthy relationships, preventing and dealing with burnout, and working on self-esteem. Therapists and inner healing practitioners discuss expectations and recommendations with the unseen leader during the healing process. Depending on what is needed, the process can last anywhere from 2 to 5 or more visits. All visit conversations between therapist/inner healing practitioner and the unseen leader are confidential. Enhearten Unseen Leaders does not provide counseling & care, but rather provides unseen leaders with resources and recommendations for licensed counselors and inner healing practitioners.

An Enhearten team member is available to provide recommendations for licensed counselors and inner healing practitioners that work in the community (in person and remote). Financial support for counseling and care is available on a limited basis for those in need. Recommendations and financial support are available for California residents only.

If you or someone you know is a survivor of leadership abuse, or is impacted by an unhealthy group or organization, please reach out to Enhearten to continue your healing journey:

Resources for Education & Restoration

The journey of an unseen leader should include

relevant training, self-care, mentoring, and networking.

Enhearten helps leaders who have a financial need with the chance to participate in an advertised seminar, conference, symposium, retreat, or other similar activity of their choosing. The event must have the goal of learning, personal growth, and/or inner healing. Enhearten may support unseen leaders by contributing to event registration fees (in part or full).

All requests must be received 2 weeks or more in advance of the event date. Enhearten board member(s) will review requests to see if standard criteria are met as part of the decision making process. All personal information will be kept private aside from use in the decision making/event registration process. Unseen leaders requesting assistance must be at least 18 years of age and residing in the United States. For more information or to make a request, complete the website contact form:

Healing Resources

Enhearten has a collection of more resources—people, books, blog posts, videos, and podcasts— that focus on leadership abuse and survivor healing. We see important connections between leadership abuse, discrimination, and harmful mistreatment and include contemporary resources. We value and need the leadership of diverse voices and welcome suggestions of additional resources to include.
